Jenny & Karl | Maloit Park & Donovan Pavilion | Vail Wedding Photographer
The first big snow in the fall is always a magical day; how lucky are Jenny and Karl that it came on their wedding day?! Since October in the Vail Valley usually has every kind of weather, they smartly mentioned to their guests that their outdoor ceremony would be happening rain/snow/shine and to dress accordingly. And in true valley culture, guests came in snow boots, beanies and ski jackets. It was perfectly Vail and perfectly Jenny and Karl. Also, Jenny's family has roots in Germany and Karl's in Austria, so it was fun to see the regional dress and traditions they incorporated...Shout out to Karl's & his brother's business: HWK Ski Wax (ala the beanies!).After a ceremony delay due to really snowy and windy conditions, it was so perfect that the sun peaked out just for a minute right as they were exchanging rings! This! It's a German wedding tradition that the couple saws through a log together after they're married to symbolize teamwork and working through problems together.Jenny is a lieutenant for the Eagle River Fire Protection District, and the district's antique engine was a classic send-off vehicle...Full on fall color at Donovan Pavilion in Vail!I love when one photo encapsulates the personality of everyone in it...
